Archaeological research of Bratislava Castle, which was the first step in the restoration of national cultural monuments, started back in 2008. In regards to the huge reconstruction of Bratislava castle, the winter riding school was added which is almost an exact copy of the one that stood there before it was destroyed by the fire in 1811. The reconstruction is carried out based on documents from conservationists and researchers. The castle’s surroundings is decorated with a baroque garden which was also created in regards to the original baroque garden that stood there.
